Avere due ragazzi con epilessia, disabilità intellettiva e l'impianto VNS ha fatto un viaggio interessante. Ho iniziato il mio viaggio nel cucito perché non potevo permettermi una bella trapunta fatta a mano per i miei figli. Ciò ha portato a rendere Brett il figlio più giovane con i braccialetti VNS perché voleva qualcosa di divertente e non voleva indossare le semplici bande nere che vengono con loro! La sua gioia mi ha portato a iniziare a farli per i miei amici figli. Ho imparato rapidamente che avrei avuto bisogno di venderne un po 'per continuare ad aiutare le persone! I pettorali sono andati allo stesso modo, così come tutto il resto che ho fatto e probabilmente farò! Mi rende felice fare cose di cui so che le persone hanno bisogno e spero che aiuterà finanziariamente la nostra famiglia in futuro. Lavoro a tempo pieno in una struttura di cura della memoria per i residenti della demenza, quindi le mie ore di negozio sono solo ogni due fine settimana. 💜

Having two boys with epilepsy, intellectual disability and the VNS implant has made for an interesting journey. I started my sewing journey because I couldn't afford a nice handmade quilt for my children. That led to making Brett the younger son with the VNS the bracelets because he wanted something fun, and he didn't want to wear the plain black bands that come with them! His joy led me to start making them for my friends children. I quickly learned that I was going to need to sell some to keep helping people! The bibs happened the same way, as has everything else I have done and likely will do! It makes me happy to make things I know people need, and hopefully will help our family financially in the future. I work full time in a memory care facility for dementia residents, so my shop hours are only every other weekend. 💜
