Rented Walls and a Sky Full of Dreams
Our family is very small, so small that sometimes, even in the quiet of our home, the anxieties about the future were palpable. When I came to this house after our marriage, I saw that my husband had been pouring his heart and soul into his business for the past eight years. There was no lack of hard work on his part, but his business methods were stuck in the past—the same shop, the same few customers, and the same limited income.
Often at night, when he would sit down, exhausted, I would see a weariness in his eyes. It wasn't the weariness of hard work, but rather the worry of whether we would be able to meet the needs of tomorrow. As our family grew, my maternal instincts and a wife's concern began to awaken. I felt that with the way times were changing, if we didn't change, we would be left behind.
One evening, as he sat with his ledger, I placed my hand on his and said with encouragement:
"You've been nurturing this business for eight years, but now it's time to take it beyond the four walls of this house. The world has changed; people spend less time in shops and more time on their mobile phones. The work you're doing here, we can do it online too!"
Initially, there was a little fear and hesitation in his eyes. But I didn't give up on him. I explained to him that this wasn't just for me, but for our growing family and the bright future of our children.
Today, when I see him learning the intricacies of the digital world, I feel immense pride. When a small family joins hands with a big vision, blessings naturally follow. Our hard work is traditional, but our path is new. Now we don't worry about any limitations, because our business is no longer confined to the streets, but is reaching people's phones and hearts.
Our small family has now embarked on a journey towards bigger dreams.
