Who knew car rides could be so productive?
Non ricordo dove stavamo andando. Non ricordo nemmeno dove sia iniziato il nostro viaggio in macchina. Ma ricordo quel giro in macchina chiaro come il giorno. Io e la mia famiglia eravamo tutti in macchina, discutendo di come sarebbe stato possedere un'azienda. È iniziato con idee per caffetterie e ristoranti, ma io e mia sorella avevamo altre idee.
Radiya, la mia sorella più giovane, e io ci siamo orientati verso l'artigianato e la creatività artigianale rispetto alla creatività culinaria, quindi abbiamo iniziato a sognare il tipo di oggetti fatti a mano che potevamo fare e vendere. Le nostre menti navigavano da camicie e borse all'uncinetto ad amigurumi a segnalibri, bottiglie e quaderni personalizzati. Abbiamo iniziato a pensare a nomi per il nostro negozio dei sogni. Alcuni dei nomi erano piuttosto ridicoli e divertenti, mentre altri non erano abbastanza accattivanti per noi.
Infine, siamo arrivati a Fingerwork Creations. Aveva semplicemente senso. Tutto il nostro lavoro richiedeva delicatezza con le dita e la punta delle dita. Quando progettiamo e realizziamo i nostri prodotti, i nostri cuori tirano le fila delle nostre dita, facendo tutto il nostro lavoro dal cuore e niente di meno.

I don't remember where we were heading. I don't even remember where our car ride started. But I remember that car ride as clear as day. My family and I were all in the car, discussing what it would be like to own a business. It started with ideas for coffee shops and restaurants, but my sister and I had other ideas.
Radiya, my youngest sister, and I leaned towards craft and handwork creativity than we did to culinary creativity, so we started dreaming up the kind of handmade items we could make and sell. Our minds sailed from crocheted shirts and bags to amigurumi to customized bookmarks, bottles, and notebooks. We started thinking up names for our dream shop. Some of the names were quite ridiculous and funny, while others were not catchy enough for us.
Finally, we got to Fingerwork Creations. It simply made sense. All of our work required delicacy with our fingers and fingertips. When we design and make our products, our hearts pull the strings of our fingers, making all of our work from the heart and nothing less.
