Where it all started...
Als ich sechzehn war, begann ich an der Sir John Cass School of Art in London. Ich habe ein Jahr lang Schlüsselqualifikationen gelernt, die mir dann helfen würden, eine Lehre in der Silberschmiedin zu finden. Ich begann bei Sarah Jones zu arbeiten und wurde bald durch The Goldsmiths Company für eine fünfjährige Ausbildung verpflichtet. Während meiner Ausbildung gewann ich eine Reihe von Goldschmiedehandwerks- und Designratswettbewerben für meine Silberschmiede- und Jagdarbeit. Als ich 21 war, beendete ich meine Ausbildung bei Sarah, arbeitete dort aber bis zu meinem 25. Lebensjahr weiter. An diesem Punkt machte ich mich auf eigene Faust auf den Weg nach Norden nach Lincolnshire, wo ich seitdem meine eigene Sammlung von Schmuck und Silberwaren produziere.
When I was sixteen I started at the Sir John Cass school of art in London. I spent a year learning key skills which would then help me to go on to find an apprenticeship in silversmithing. I started working at Sarah Jones' and was soon indentured through The Goldsmiths Company on a five year apprenticeship. During my apprenticeship I won a number of goldsmiths craft and design council competitions for my silversmithing and chasing work. When I was 21 finished my apprenticeship with Sarah but carried on working there until I was 25. At this point I set out on my own and moved up north to Lincolnshire where I have been ever since producing my own collection of jewellery and silverware.
