Sono Kay, calligrafa e orgogliosa proprietaria di Calligraphy by KayW (fondata nel 2014).
Da bambina, non avrei mai immaginato di dedicarmi a qualcosa di così creativo. La mia passione per la calligrafia è nata quando ero studentessa universitaria: volevo imparare una nuova abilità e mi sono imbattuta in questa citazione:
“Inizia oggi, perché tra un anno ringrazierai te stesso.”
Quella frase mi è rimasta impressa. Ho preso una penna per calligrafia e ho iniziato a esercitarmi ogni giorno nel mio dormitorio, ed è lì che è iniziato tutto.
Ciò che mi ispira di più sono le connessioni significative, la natura e il modo in cui l'amore può essere condiviso attraverso oggetti pensati e ideali da regalare. Ogni pezzo che creo è realizzato a mano, con cura, tempo e attenzione ai dettagli, che si tratti di calligrafia, incisione o qualcosa di completamente personalizzato.
Come molti piccoli imprenditori, ricopro tutti i ruoli: calligrafo, fotografo, designer, imballatore, addetto al marketing e addetto al controllo qualità, ma non cambierei nulla.

I’m Kay, the calligrapher and proud owner of Calligraphy by KayW (Est. 2014).
As a little girl, I never imagined I’d be doing something so creative. My passion for calligraphy began while I was a university student- I wanted to learn a new skill and came across the quote:
“Start today, because a year from now you’ll thank yourself.”
That line stayed with me. I picked up a calligraphy pen and began practicing every single day from my halls of residence, and that’s where it all began.
What inspires me most is meaningful connections, nature, and the way love can be shared through thoughtful, giftable items. Each piece I create is crafted by hand, with care, time, and attention to detail, whether it’s handwritten calligraphy, engraving, or something completely bespoke.
Like many small business owners, I wear every hat — calligrapher, photographer, designer, packer, marketer, and quality checker, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
