Illustration-Based Creations Inspired by the Natural World
My love for science grew from a lifelong quest to observe and understand the wondrous things I saw all around me. From journaling to photography to scientific figure-making, I’ve enjoyed exploring ways to document small parts of the world that fascinate me. During my time as a field biologist, I began drawing the amazing organisms I saw while SCUBA diving on coral reefs or chasing monkeys through the forest. Now that I spend my days doing molecular biology in the lab, I love decompressing from experiments and data analysis by drawing from photos or nature documentaries.
That habit turned into a stack of illustrations, plants, animals, the occasional skull or strange deep-sea creature, and eventually into the question that started this shop: what can I do with these?
That's still the question driving everything here. Some illustrations become laser-cut, hand-painted wood earrings, with no two pairs quite identical, the same way you'd never find two identical specimens in nature. Others become coloring pages, for anyone who wants to sit with the same strange, beautiful details I was looking at when I drew them. And this shop will just keep growing from there.
I make these because I love the natural world, in all its splendid and, at times, bizarre, loveliness. I hope something here inspires you to look a little more closely at some odd corner of our planet.
Thank you for supporting a small, one-person shop. Every order means a lot.
