Fiber art for your soul.
As a child, I remember being mesmerized by the ornaments and crafting creations my grandmother would decorate her house with each holiday season. I have always had an interest in how things are made and the memories that can surround even the simplest items. In college, I learned several fiber art techniques including sewing, knitting, crochet, cross stitch, and ornament construction. After leaving college I spent several years as a teacher, spending my free time creating fun and meaningful crafts for the people in my life.
at the age of 33, I found myself building my life over again from scratch and discovering which things in my life were truly things I loved or things I had been told to love. It was in this time I also came out as bisexual to the people in my life.I began creating ornaments and cross stitch crafts that represent the ideas and fandoms that helped to define me as a person. I know that many people have drawn a similar strength and sense of belonging from these things and hope to create the same sense of nostalgia and joy in each piece I create.
As a member of the LGBTQ community and proud mother of a LGBTQ daughter, I find that inclusion and representation are extremely important and necessary for us to prosper as a society. I hope to provide a space and ideas that share these views and allow others to know that they are not alone.
