Hi! I'm Jennifer Beaudet (pronounced boday). I'm a native Californian, born and raised.
I have painted a series of women in dresses, using a palette knife and oils. I also love to paint flowers, as you can tell and local scenes of California and Hawaii. I'm a little obsessed about Hawaii. My obsessions are, flowers of all kinds, Hawaii, Wedding Dresses, and the beach...oh! and the color peach! I've been an artist all my life but put it on hold to raise my daughter, working full-time as a single mom in a variety of jobs. While studying art in school, I apprenticed with a professional landscape artist from Southern California, who was also my professor. He was a master of color and design and taught me so much. I studied studio art, and earned a degree in that subject, focusing on watercolor, which I decided was not my thing. I found oils and my art took off!
Painting is my passion and my life! I take great pride in my work. Each piece is painted with care and creativity. A lot of planning, designing, and research goes into my work and I don't skimp on the paint!
Etsy has been an amazing opportunity for me to reach art collectors from around the world. One of my first and most special sales on here was to a wonderful collector in Australia! It was so exciting! My paintings are also in Paris and Japan...pretty cool...and in Switzerland. I was thrilled to be commissioned by Kincaid's in my hometown Redondo, Beach. They have 3 large paintings hanging in their restaurant overlooking the ocean.
It's a joy when someone receives their painting and lets me know how much they love it! I also enjoy hearing and seeing where it hangs in their home.
