Knotty Crew es un pequeño taller que funciona desde nuestra casa familiar, construido a base de largas noches de trabajo, grandes sueños y el apoyo incondicional de mi esposo Muhammad.
Antes de esto, intentaba encontrar la manera de hacer algo que parecía imposible: estar plenamente presente para mis hijos y construir algo significativo para mí. Toda madre conoce esa tensión. Quieres estar ahí para cada pequeño momento, cada vez que los llevas al colegio, cada martes cualquiera que de alguna manera se siente precioso. Pero también tienes algo dentro de ti que quiere crear, crecer, contribuir. Durante mucho tiempo, pensé que tenía que elegir.
Muhammad jamás me dejó creer eso. Cuando le presenté esta idea —diseñar regalos personalizados para bodas, para las damas de honor que se preparaban juntas, para los padrinos que brindaban la noche anterior— no dudó ni un instante. Se sentó a mi lado en la mesa de la cocina mientras los niños dormían, ayudándome a pensar en ello, repasando cada detalle, creyendo en la idea incluso antes de que yo misma lo creyera del todo. Y aún lo cree.
Knotty Crew nació en esa mesa de cocina.
Siempre me han atraído los momentos que rodean las bodas, no solo la ceremonia en sí, sino todo lo que la rodea. La despedida de soltera donde la novia ríe hasta llorar. La mañana de la boda, cuando los padrinos se reúnen por última vez como amigos. La dama de honor que ha estado ahí en las buenas y en las malas, finalmente tiene la oportunidad de estar junto a su mejor amiga en el altar. Estos momentos merecen algo que se sienta tan personal como lo son.
Eso es lo que hacemos. Cada vaso, cada bolso, cada regalo personalizado que sale de nuestra tienda lleva el nombre de alguien, la fecha de alguien, la historia de alguien. Ponemos mucho empeño en cada diseño porque sabemos que no es solo un producto, sino parte de un recuerdo que alguien atesorará para siempre.
Dirigir este negocio desde casa significa que mis hijos crecen viendo a su madre construir algo. Eso es muy importante para mí. Y tener a Muhammad a mi lado —encargándose de lo que yo no puedo, animándome en los éxitos, dándome fuerzas en los días difíciles— significa que nunca he tenido que hacerlo sola.

Knotty Crew is a small shop run out of our family home, built on late nights, big dreams, and the unwavering support of my husband Muhammad.
Before this, I was trying to figure out how to do something that felt impossible — be fully present for my kids and build something meaningful of my own. Every mother knows that pull. You want to be there for every small moment, every school run, every ordinary Tuesday that somehow feels precious. But you also have something inside you that wants to create, to grow, to contribute. For a long time, I thought I had to choose.
Muhammad never let me believe that. When I came to him with this idea — designing personalized gifts for wedding parties, for the bridesmaids getting ready together, for the groomsmen raising a glass the night before — he didn't hesitate. He sat beside me at the kitchen table while the kids slept, helping me think it through, talking through every detail, believing in it before I fully believed in it myself. He still does.
Knotty Crew was born from that kitchen table.
I've always been drawn to the moments surrounding weddings — not just the ceremony itself, but everything around it. The bachelorette weekend where the bride laughs until she cries. The morning of, when the groomsmen are all together for the last time as just the guys. The bridesmaid who has been there through everything, finally getting to stand beside her best friend at the altar. These moments deserve something that feels as personal as they are.
That's what we make. Every tumbler, every tote, every custom gift that leaves our shop carries someone's name, someone's date, someone's story. We put real thought into every design because we know it's not just a product — it's part of a memory someone will carry for the rest of their life.
Running this shop from home means my kids grow up watching their mother build something. That matters to me more than I can say. And having Muhammad in my corner — handling the things I can't, cheering on the wins, steadying me through the hard days — means I've never had to do any of it alone.
