"Those who do not read, at the age of 70, will have lived only one life: their own. The reader will have lived 5000 years: there was when Cain killed Abel, when Renzo married Lucia, when Leopardi admired the infinite ... because reading is an immortality backwards."
Umberto Eco
By adopting a LeggiTempo you can reciprocate the splendid gift that printed paper gives us by giving a second life to a book otherwise destined to be destroyed.
Each watch is a unique handmade piece, equipped with a German quartz mechanism.
The LeggiTempo are born among the stalls of used books, where each book is carefully chosen by evaluating the weight of the cover and the weight of the sheets to ensure optimal balance once the mechanism is inserted. The mounted mechanisms are tested for 24 hours while the hands are finished and painted by hand. The pages are treated to be refractory to dust and the back is plasticized at the point of contact with the wall to avoid marks on the wall. The illustrations are original and are printed in a limited edition on semi-transparent matte paper.
