My name is Francesca Fontana, "made in Bologna", and one day a few years ago I decided to start putting together the know-how acquired in fifteen years of working in the fashion / luxury sector to create "different" accessories , almost objects of art but functional and able to best characterize the beauty of the wearer.
Experimenting with shapes and materials, without making too much noise.
I create hats, jewels and footwear that can also be made to measure and personalized, chosen and designed directly by those who will wear them. Accessories to wear from dusk to dawn, and vice versa.
To get to all of this, I went back to school for a moment (sitting on a typical green high school desk) and studied, tried and tried again, learning the art of millinery, sewing, jewelry design, and so on.
Shoes have always been my core since I was in high school, when to escape the boredom of math and philosophy lessons I had to design minimal pumps and sandals with vertiginous heels.
Then I ended up designing luxury shoes for work.
Then I sold them in prestigious boutiques in London (also made to order to be shipped worldwide).
And finally I started making them in Bologna, for brides.
And it is from the brides that the whole project began, from a tiara of flowers that were first "vintage", then in hand-sewn fabric and which I finally transformed into brass flowers cut, filed and modeled by hand. Embellished with 24k gold plating.
I actually like brides a lot, and I think they like them.
I mainly follow women's accessories, but it happens more and more often to make men's hats, for example.
Many years ago I was actually designing men's accessories. And I liked it a lot.
In short, I am quite multifaceted, and I can not not be, it is part of my nature.
Said so, please come and enjoy my chaos.
