Lavoravo come receptionist in un'azienda piuttosto grande ed è nella mia natura aiutare gli altri. Quando ai dipendenti veniva rubato il pranzo, venivano a raccontarmelo.
Una donna metteva il suo pranzo in un sacchetto di carta marrone con il suo nome scritto sopra. Doveva preparare dei pranzi deliziosi, perché era un bersaglio frequente. A volte le rubavano solo qualcosa, ma il più delle volte le portavano via tutto. Mi faceva tanta pena.
Ho cercato su internet una borsa termica con chiusura di sicurezza, ma nel 2009 non ne ho trovate. Così mi sono rivolta al reparto marketing e mi hanno dato un contatto per poterle produrre. Ho regalato la prima a una donna che perdeva sempre il pranzo. Era felicissima!
Da allora, diverse persone mi hanno detto di tenere i loro farmaci nella borsa. Poi ho ricevuto un'email da una neomamma che allattava e, avendo a disposizione solo un frigorifero comunitario, ha acquistato un Lunch Locka ed era felicissima di sapere che i suoi farmaci erano al sicuro!
Una cosa è farsi rubare degli oggetti, un'altra è che qualcuno metta qualcosa nel tuo cibo. La situazione è folle là fuori, quindi devi fare tutto il possibile per stare al sicuro!
Non pubblicizzo le mie borse e ci sono altri che vendono la stessa cosa. Ho chiuso il sito web e vendo solo quello che ho in magazzino. L'ho fatto semplicemente perché c'era una reale esigenza.
Non so come facciano le persone a guadagnare vendendo articoli del genere. Pagano $$ per la borsa, $$ per stampare il logo sulla borsa, $$ per il lucchetto, $$ per stampare il logo sul lucchetto, $$ per i materiali di imballaggio, $$ per le commissioni delle piattaforme di vendita.

I was a receptionist at a fairly large company and it’s in my nature to help others. When employees had their lunch stolen they would come tell me about it.
One woman would put her lunch in a brown paper bag with her name written on it. She must have made some delicious lunches because she was a regular target. Sometimes only 1 item was taken but most of the time they took it all. I felt so sorry for her.
I searched the internet for a locking lunch bag but in 2009 there were none. So I went to our marketing department and they gave me a contact so I could make these bags. I gave my first one to the woman who kept losing her lunch. She was so happy!
Since then people told me that they were keeping their medication in their bag. Then I got the email from a nursing mother and only had a community fridge so she got a Lunch Locka and was so happy knowing it was safe!
It’s one thing to have items taken from you and it’s another that someone might put something in your food. It’s crazy out there so you need to do what you can to Be Safe!!!
I don’t market my bags and there are others who are selling the same idea. I dropped the website and just selling what I have in stock. I just did this because there was a real need.
I don’t know how anyone makes money selling items like this. Pay $$ for bag, $$ printing logo on bag, $$ for lock, $$ printing logo on lock, $ packaging materials, $$ fees from platforms where you sell.
