MATHOM era il termine che gli hobbit utilizzavano per qualsiasi cosa a cui non riuscivano a trovare un utilizzo ma che erano restii a gettare via.
Io vedo i gioielli come qualcosa di per sè inutile ma che acquista un forte significato per ognuno,come amuleti che non riusciamo a gettare via.
Spero che mi aiutino a condividere con voi un poco di conoscenza della flora e della fauna della nostra terra, come pillole di natura.
La maggior parte degli elementi che utilizzo provengono dai miei dintorni,le Alpi, le Prealpi e la Pianura Padana, anche le ossa sono ritrovamenti miei o di amici, non c'è stata violenza per ottenerle, solamente rispetto e desiderio di onorare gli animali anche dopo la morte.
Cercare questi meravigliosi materiali chiede tempo e ogni volta continua ad insegnarmi qualcosa di più su me stessa,le mie radici e l'importanza di tornare ad una vita più lenta, con meno spazio per il genere umano e più per la Natura.
Anche gli scarti che utilizzo sono stati trovati durante le mie camminate,cerco di fare la mia parte,tenere pulito e provare a dare una seconda vita ai rifiuti.
Spero davvero di riuscire a farvi arrivare la ricchezza dei miei territori e dei luoghi che visito.

Manutenzione
I gioielli di mathom sono realizzati con foglie, ghiande, bacche,pigne ecc vere quindi si consiglia di indossarli con cura e attenzione.
Il rame può invecchiare con il tempo, e questo vi dará la possibilità di vedere il vostro pezzo cambiare e prendere sfumature diverse ma nel caso vogliate riportarlo all'antico splendore, basta immergerlo per qualche minuto in una soluzione di aceto di mele e sale, in realtà molti rimedi della nonna per lucidare il rame van benissimo.
Non lucidare i pezzi ossidati, si potrebbero rovinare gli effetti creati dall'ossidazione che abbiamo fatto.
Ogni pezzo ossidato é specificato come tale.
Per l'argento non c'è nessuna manutenzione particolare.
Cos'è il segno verde-blu che il rame lascia sulla pelle?
Il rame potrebbe lasciare un segno verde-blu sulla pelle, specialmente sulle dita se si indossano anelli,questo succede quando il rame si ossida a contatto con l'ossigeno e viene poi assorbito dal nostro corpo attraverso il sudore.
Non preoccupatevi,il rame ha un sacco di effetti benefici sul nostro corpo ( non li elenco qui perché sono parecchi e ci dilungheremmo troppo).
Per eliminarli basta lavarsi le mani con acqua calda e sapone.
Il rame che utilizziamo è puro e non contiene nickel.

Posso realizzare più pezzi dello stesso soggetto per bomboniere,regali per feste e celebrazioni particolari.
Comunque ogni pezzo é unico in quanto non esistono in natura due foglie o due pigne e così via che siano uguali.

Perché si intravede del rame sotto il mio anello argento?
Tutti i pezzi in argento vengono prima bagnati in rame, questo crea una struttura più resistente che se fosse solo in argento.
Se indossate un anello tutti i giorni, causa sudore e sfregamento, puó essere che dopo qualche mese si inizi ad intravedere il rame, in tal caso,se voleste bagnarlo nuovamente nell'argento, potete spedirci il pezzo e provvederemo ri-bagnarlo senza problemi.
