Dame una buena librería, una biblioteca o, sinceramente, una cafetería con ventana, y me perderé en un cuaderno de bocetos durante horas. Soy una ilustradora colombiana que actualmente vive en Estados Unidos, y sí... tengo más libros de los que jamás tendré tiempo de leer. No lo veo como un problema.
Me entusiasma demasiado el arte en todas sus formas, y siento una especial predilección por los animales, las plantas y los extraños mundos que la naturaleza crea por sí sola. Esa es, básicamente, la fórmula que hay detrás de todo lo que dibujo: libros, naturaleza y criaturas que parecen tener personalidad propia, incluso aquellas con raíces en lugar de piernas.
Algunas de estas piezas acaban en la pared de una habitación infantil, otras junto a una estantería muy querida; en cualquier caso, espero que aporten un poco de alegría y calidez dondequiera que vayan a parar.
Give me a good bookstore, a library, or honestly just a café with a window, and I'll disappear into a sketchbook for hours. I'm a Colombian illustrator currently living in the U.S., and yes... I own more books than I'll ever have time to read. I don't see that as a problem.
I get a little too excited about art in any form, and I have a real soft spot for animals, plants, and the strange little worlds nature builds on its own. That's basically the whole recipe behind everything I draw: books plus nature plus creatures that feel like they have their own personalities, even the ones with roots instead of legs.
Some pieces here end up on a nursery wall, others next to a well-loved bookshelf, either way, I hope they bring a little joy and warmth to wherever they land.
