A Mom's Tale of Teaching Her Children Islam
When I was a kid, my parents were my first teachers of Islam. They made sure I knew the stories of the prophets, how to read the Quran, and the beauty of following the Sunnah. Looking back, I can't thank them enough for the foundation they laid.
But when I became a mom myself, I wanted to add something to the whole experience of learning about Islam. I wanted to make it more fun and adventurous, integrating it into our daily lives without making it feel forced or boring.
However, I also realized that life as a parent is hectic and crazy busy. It wasn't easy to find time for our lessons during days full of kindergarten, work, and activities. It also wasn't easy to get my kids to abandon their Hot Wheels cars and Barbies to come and learn with me.
That's when I decided to get creative. I created my own Islamic worksheets and coloring pages. I came up with Islamic quizzes to play and learn at the same time. I started a Ramadan calendar to get my kids excited about this holy month. After all, we live in Europe, and Christmas is very fancy here.
It wasn't about being an artist or anything; it was just about making learning feel like an adventure. Bedtime stories became more about prophets and stories from Islam, and our home turned into this little haven where Islam wasn't just taught - it was part of our everyday joy.
With my little shop, I want to help other parents and kids discover the beauty of Islam in a playful way, too! I hope these printables will bring you joy and a lot of knowledge. 🌙💖
