Ciao a tutti! Mi chiamo Laura. Ho avviato la mia piccola attività realizzando bandane per cani uniche poco prima del COVID-19. Non avevo familiarità con le bandane per cani, non avendo mai avuto un cane. Ma a novembre 2019, dopo aver finalmente realizzato il mio sogno di dare una caparra per un cucciolo, ho iniziato a cercare cose da comprare per lei prima che arrivasse. È stato allora che ho scoperto le bandane per cani. Essendone diventata una grande fan, ho voluto crearne una mia, con i miei design e stili preferiti. Quando ho preso il mio cucciolo (Candy) a marzo 2020, il COVID-19 aveva colpito. Lavoravo da casa e, tra l'addestramento del mio nuovo cucciolo e il lavoro, ho trovato abbastanza tempo per imparare a cucire (autodidatta!) e avviare la mia nuova attività curando design per bandane e cucendole. Non era il momento migliore per lanciare un'attività, con tutte le restrizioni in atto sulle spedizioni, la chiusura dei negozi, ecc. Ma è stata comunque una grande opportunità per me di imparare, ordinare materiali, organizzare il mio flusso di lavoro e le mie collezioni e migliorare le mie capacità imprenditoriali. Sebbene provenga da una famiglia di imprenditori autonomi/self-made, è stata la prima volta in assoluto che ho lanciato una mia vera attività, quindi è stato emozionante e scoraggiante allo stesso tempo. Di recente ho scoperto una nuova passione: creare arte digitale che cattura i momenti preferiti delle persone nella vita con le loro persone preferite e/o i loro compagni pelosi. Hi everyone! My name is Laura. I launched my small business making unique dog bandanas right before COVID-19. I was unfamiliar with dog bandanas, having never owned a dog. But in November 2019, after finally realizing my dream of putting down a deposit on a puppy, I started looking up things to buy for her before she arrived. That's when I found out about dog bandanas. Having become a huge fan of them, I wanted to create my own, with my very own preferred designs and styles. By the time I picked up my puppy (Candy) in March 2020, COVID-19 had hit. I was working from home, and in between training my new puppy and work, I found enough time to learn how to sew (self-taught!) and launch my new business curating designs for bandanas, and sewing them. It was not the best time to launch a business, with all the restrictions in place on shipments, closure of stores, etc. But it was nonetheless a great opportunity for me to learn, to order materials, to organize my workflow and collections, and improve my entrepreneurship skills. Although I come from a family of self-employed / self-made entrepreneurs, it was the first time ever I've launched my own proper business, so it was both exciting and daunting at the same time. I have recently found a new passion -- creating digital art that captures people's favourite moments in life with their favourite people and/or their furry companions.
