Nature's magic makes our Hearts green... and jewels too!

I’ve always been interested in making things with my own hands.
Being only child helped me to explore the realms of my imagination and find out the proper means to give life to my first attempts of artworks, which were mainly drawings when I was a child. It didn’t take too long before I found clay thanks to my mother, who attended a course in a potter’s studio at the time and let me attend some of the lessons. I found (and, actually, still find) it a wonderful mean to use thanks to its pliability, and I have to admit I’d like to learn more about it in the future.

Nevertheless, now I can proudly say that I fall in love with polymer clay, which few years ago opened my mind to the marvels of brand new possibilities in the creative process. As you can see in the shop, I make most of my jewellery and items with polymer clay, because it’s a very versatile material that enables me to create something which is really one of a kind.

Other materials I like using are metals, in particular copper and brass, because they have that special allure which makes them resemble the ancient artefacts. In addition, I really like the way their colours combine with the ones of the gemstones and beads, and I also find interesting the different ways in which you can transform them.

In my experience, order in the creative process is normally thin on the ground, even if it happens sometimes that I make some sketches when I have to take notes of some ideas before they leave my mind, and most of the time what I make turns out completely different from what I’d written before. That’s something I really appreciate, because it always shows me that I can go beyond my own limits and do something in a much better way.

When I was a child, my father told me a lot of legends and fairy tales as bedtime stories, but also myths and sagas which during my university studies I deepened my knowledge of, and now they are an important part of my imagery, enriched with all their wonderments.

Besides, I’ve always been a Nature lover, amazed by all its colours, shapes and perfumes; I got interested in Botany in my early stages of university studies (before I drifted in Anthropology!), and this subject let me know and recognise new - and old - plants in their natural habitat, but for me it wasn't enough and urged me to study Phytotherapy as a self-taught amateur. What's more, in the last years I’m trying to further my knowledge and skills in natural cosmetics, which I found very useful and effective in body care. I’m also trying to perfect my technique in making this type of products, following the scientific method I learned during my studies in the field of Biology. Regarding this kind of products, I feel also the urge to ensure that all the ingredients are organic, cruelty-free, sometimes home-grown and suitable for vegetarians and (when it will be said) vegans, being me too a vegetarian.

I’ve always dreamt about having a studio of mine, where I could have my kiln for pottery, a little oven for polymer clay, the corner for paints; it would be wonderful if such a dream came true, having a refuge for my creative activity, as well as transforming something which is now just a hobby into a full time job, but who really knows what could happen? I’ll do all my best to improve my skills and make something very special for all of you!

Follow me on Google+ (+NaturaecorBlogspotOoakCreations), where you’ll find all the updates from the blog with a lot more photos and news about my creations, a green lifestyle and the adventures of my sweetheart, Luna ;)

You can also find me on Tumblr, where you can see all the works in progress, or on Facebook, where I post all my latest works, Etsy&blog updates and some interesting things! ;)

Each purchased item will arrive – along with the certificate of authenticity – in a gift package, without paying extra-costs. If it’s a gift for a beloved one, you don’t have to worry about making the package because I’ll do it for you. Instead, if it’s a present for yourself, it’s pleasing to open a gift parcel as well, isn’t it? ;)

I package your item with care and paying attention so that it will arrive intact in your hands.
Standard shipping can take between 20-30 working days and – during Christmas time and summer – even more, especially to countries outside the European Union.

Instead, registered delivery can approximately take:
• 3-4 business days in Italy,
• 6-8 business days in countries within EU,
• 10-14 business days in countries which are in Africa, America, Asia and Oceania.

Sometimes orders shipped abroad are stopped at customs, lenghtening delivery time. In case this will happen, please note that I can’t do anything about it and that you are responsible of any customs duty.
Additional policies and FAQs

No, beacuse when making them I use a special mixture of both liquid and solid polymer clays, which actually increase durability and flexibility. This mixture makes the item resist to hits when it accidentally falls.

Additionally, these pieces undergo a baking with high temperatures which enables complete fusion and bond of the components of the clay and of the piece, prenting any fragility which is usually caused by baking a lower temperatures than those indicated by the clay producers.

Yes, of course: for me it’s a pleasure to make a tailor-made item only for you!

You can request it through:
• clicking the button “Request Custom Order” here in the shop: a window will open and there you can say me what you want, what features you’d like it to have and all your ideas regarding it; you can also send an image of the sketch you made or indicate the prospective date you need it;
• sending me an email at naturaecor [!at] : write me about all your ideas and requests, and remember to write as object in the email “Request Of Tailor-made Item” so that your email gets noticeable in my electronic postbox.

Whatever option you choose, tell me wht you are searching for and haven’t found yet, what ideas you have regarding it, if it’s for you or someone else, if it’s for a special happening or particular reason, but most importantly tell me what story you want it to bear witness to.

Once read your message, I’ll contact you explaining how I want to proceed and answering all your questions. I usually update on what I’m doing during the making of your item and contact you if I have to solve some issues. Moreover, in case that during the throughput I’ll have some doubts about how to proceed, I’ll contact you illustrating them and will follow your chosen decision.

Though, please note that I need 1-2 business weeks to process your commissioned or tailored order because of the complexity of the project or the availability of the materials, but I can tell you how long it will take after hearing your needs and will.
