IS HET GENAAID OF VASTGEBONDEN?
Gebonden tutu's laten tule rond de tailleband draaien en omvangrijke knopen nemen waardevolle ruimte in beslag, wat betekent dat er minder tule wordt gebruikt. Dat betekent dat de tutu niet zo pluizig is als het zou moeten zijn. PICKLEBUG tutu's zijn altijd SEWN, met behulp van mijn eigen persoonlijke techniek die het mogelijk maakt om maximale tule op de tailleband te plaatsen. Geen losjes genaaide plooien. Geen knopen die bewegen. De tule blijft waar hij hoort te zijn en valt zoveel meer op dan op een gebonden of losjes genaaide tutu.
IS DE TULE 100% NYLON?
Heb je ooit een dunne tutu gezien die gewoon als een tissue omhoog waadt? De kans is groot dat het gemaakt was van polyester tule. Alleen 100% nylon tule kan de volheid geven die een tutu in boetiekstijl zou moeten hebben.
IS DE TULE GEMAAKT IN DE VS?
PICKLEBUG maakt gebruik van tule die niet alleen in de VS is gekocht... het is MADE IN THE USA. Lees de kleine lettertjes en stel vragen. Veel winkels gebruiken tule die in de VS is gekocht, maar hier niet echt is vervaardigd. Vaak is deze tule brandbaar.

Questions to ask when selecting a tutu:
IS IT SEWN OR TIED?
Tied tutus allow tulle to twist around the waist band and bulky knots take up valuable space, meaning less tulle is used. That means the tutu isn't as fluffy as it should be. PICKLEBUG tutus are always SEWN, using my own personal technique that allows for maximum tulle to be placed on the waist band. No loosely sewn folds. No knots moving around. The tulle stays where it is supposed to be and stands out so much more than it does on a tied or loosely sewn tutu.
IS THE TULLE 100% NYLON?
Have you ever seen a thin tutu that just wads up like a tissue? Chances are, it was made of polyester tulle. Only 100% nylon tulle can give the fullness that a boutique-style tutu should have.
IS THE TULLE MADE IN THE USA?
PICKLEBUG uses tulle that was not just purchased in the USA...it is MADE IN THE USA. Be careful to read the fine print and ask questions. Many shops use tulle that was purchased in the USA but was not actually manufactured here. Often, this tulle is flammable.
