I love to sew
Ciao! Sono Sweet Mama K e sono una moglie, mamma di QUATTRO ragazze e amante di tutto il fai-da-te.
Dopo la nascita della mia prima figlia, ho imparato da sola a cucire. Desideravo che avesse alcuni pezzi unici e su misura nel suo guardaroba, ma non potevo permettermi i prezzi al dettaglio. Inoltre, volevo l'emozione di vederla indossare qualcosa che * ho creato * e scegliere / cucire insieme tutti i tessuti da solo.
Mi sono subito innamorata della creazione e del processo di cucito. Era qualcosa che potevo fare come mamma che allungava il mio cervello in un modo nuovo e in genere potevo finire un progetto in uno o due sonnellini. È stato gratificante fare qualcosa con le mie mani che sarebbe durato (gran parte del mio lavoro come mamma era ambiguo o non avrebbe mostrato risultati fino a mesi o anni dopo).
Il mio cucito continuò per tutto il tempo ad avere un altro bambino e presto cucii ogni giorno.
Nel 2014, ho aperto questo negozio Etsy per vendere alcuni dei prodotti che stavo realizzando. Mi è piaciuto e ho imparato così tanto nel processo. Circa un anno dopo, ho dovuto chiudere mentre ci preparavamo per l'arrivo della nostra terza figlia e una grande mossa fuori dallo stato.
La nostra quarta figlia è venuta nel frattempo e ho tenuto il passo con il mio cucito ma non ho avuto il margine per molto altro.
Ma quando quest'ultimo bambino ha compiuto un anno, ho sentito il forte bisogno di tornare in questo spazio. Sono entusiasta di condividere con voi alcuni dei miei modelli preferiti che ho sviluppato e cucito per molti anni.
Adoro il brivido di cucire qualcosa di speciale per le mie figlie (e talvolta per me!). È così gratificante. Sono entusiasta di poter condividere questa passione con voi.
E nel 2021, ho aperto il mio negozio gemello: SibbyClips; un posto dove vendere la mia arte digitale e clipart. Etsy è stato così gentile con me e sono entusiasta di essere di nuovo qui!
Hi! I am Sweet Mama K and I am a wife, mama to FOUR girls, and a lover of all DIY.
After my first daughter was born, I taught myself how to sew. I longed for her to have some unique, bespoke pieces in her wardrobe, but couldn't afford the retail prices. Plus, I wanted the thrill of seeing her wear something *I* created and picking out/stitching together all of the fabrics myself.
I quickly fell in love with the creation and process of sewing. It was something I could do as a mom that stretched my brain in a new way and typically I could finish a project in one or two naptimes. It was rewarding to make something with my hands that would last (so much of my work as a mom was ambiguous or wouldn't show results until months or years later).
My sewing continued throughout having another baby and soon I was sewing every day.
In 2014, I opened this Etsy store to sell some of the goods I was making. I enjoyed it and learned so much in the process. About a year later, I had to close down as we prepared for our third daughter to arrive and a big, out-of-state move.
Our fourth daughter came in the interim and I kept up with my sewing but didn't have the margin for much else.
But as this last baby turned one, I have felt the strong urge to be back in this space. I am excited to share with you some of my favorite patterns that I have developed and sewed for many years.
I absolutely love the thrill of sewing up something special for my daughters (and sometimes myself!). It's so rewarding. I am thrilled to be able to share this passion with you.
And in 2021, I opened up my sister shop: SibbyClips; a place to sell my digital art and clipart. Etsy has been so kind to me and I am excited to be here again!
