Pixels to Prototype è nato da una cuffia antipolvere che non voleva saperne di rimanere al suo posto.
Dopo pochi minuti di ogni lavorazione CNC, il mio sistema di aspirazione si spostava, i trucioli volavano ovunque e mi ritrovavo di nuovo a dover aspirare il piano di lavoro. Non riuscivo a trovarne uno che si adattasse alla mia macchina e rimanesse al suo posto, così ne ho progettato uno io. Poi una piastra di base per la fresatrice. Poi un inserto a tolleranza zero per la sega circolare. Ogni prodotto di questo negozio è nato da un problema reale nella mia officina, risolto con gli stessi strumenti che vendo a voi: CNC, stampa 3D, laser e un sacco di tentativi ed errori.
Mi chiamo Mike. Prima di aprire questo negozio, ho lavorato per anni nel settore manifatturiero, e questo si riflette nel mio modo di lavorare: tolleranze ristrette, descrizioni accurate e pezzi che testo personalmente sulle mie macchine prima ancora di spedirli. Non siamo un magazzino. Ogni ordine viene realizzato e controllato a mano e spedito entro 1-2 giorni lavorativi. Oltre 980 appassionati ci hanno assegnato una valutazione di 4,9 stelle, il che mi stupisce ancora.

Pixels to Prototype started with a dust boot that wouldn't stay put.
A few minutes into every CNC job, my dust boot would drift, chips would fly, and I'd be vacuuming the spoilboard again. I couldn't find one that actually fit my machine and stayed put — so I designed my own. Then a router base plate. Then a zero clearance insert for the table saw. Every product in this shop started as a real problem in my own workshop, solved with the same tools I'm selling to you: CNC, 3D printing, laser, and a lot of trial and error.
I'm Mike. Prior to starting this shop, I spent years in the manufacturing industry, and it shows in how I build — tight tolerances, honest descriptions, and parts I test on my own machines before they ever ship. We're not a warehouse. Every order is made and checked by hand, and it ships in 1–2 business days. Over 980 makers have rated us 4.9 stars, which still amazes me.
