Ciao! Mi chiamo Tammy e sono la signora dietro Posh Patterns. :-)

Le mie avventure nel lavoro a maglia e all'uncinetto sono iniziate circa 21 anni fa, quando è nata mia figlia minore. Si è rapidamente evoluto in un hobby molto amato, iniziando con l'uncinetto e il lavoro a maglia a seguire. Essenzialmente ho imparato da solo come fare entrambe le cose, principalmente con i libri di istruzioni della biblioteca. Il mio hobby mi ha presto portato a progettare i miei progetti, e poi alla fine in un'attività di progettazione.

I miei modelli e disegni spaziano da accessori classici ed eleganti a pezzi divertenti e stravaganti, tutti perfettamente adatti a bambini e adulti! Mi piace molto trarre ispirazione da tutto ciò che attira il mio sguardo. E, quando una sciarpa, un cappello o un accessorio di qualsiasi tipo attira la mia attenzione e mi fa pensare, "sembra che sarebbe meraviglioso da indossare", cerco di progettare qualcosa che faccia pensare anche agli altri.

Sono anche molto orgoglioso del modo in cui scrivo tecnicamente per i miei modelli e mi sforzo di produrre indicazioni molto chiare e logicamente scritte. Dal momento che avevo lavorato a lavorare all'uncinetto e a maglia solo per un breve periodo di tempo, prima di iniziare a progettare, è stato quasi per necessità che li ho scritti in un modo semplice e facile da capire. Invio tutti i miei modelli a "tester di modelli", in modo che abbiano le maggiori possibilità di precisione. Solo dopo aver ricevuto il via libera, da loro, offro i miei disegni per l'acquisto.

Un altro aspetto importante della mia attività è il livello di servizio clienti che fornisco. Sento che è incredibilmente importante essere lì per rispondere alle domande dei tuoi clienti, se dovesse sorgere una domanda.

Se non sei ancora un magliaio o uncinetto, ti esorto a provarlo. Lavorare a maglia e lavorare all'uncinetto può offrire un'esperienza davvero rilassante e quasi meditativa. Se fai già lavoro a maglia e/o all'uncinetto, e decidi di provare uno dei miei disegni, spero che ti piaccia! Questo è il mio obiettivo principale dietro la mia attività: clienti felici di maglieria e uncinetto. :-)

Hi! My name is Tammy, and I am the lady behind Posh Patterns. :-)

My adventures in knitting and crochet began about 21 years ago when my younger daughter was born. It quickly evolved into a much-loved hobby, beginning with crochet, and knitting to follow. I essentially taught myself how to do both, mainly with how-to books from the library. My hobby soon led me to design my own projects, and then eventually into a business of designing.

My patterns and designs range from classic and elegant accessories to fun and whimsical pieces--all of them perfectly suited for kids and grown-ups alike! I really like to get my inspiration from anything that draws my eye. And, when a scarf, hat, or accessory of any kind gets my attention and makes me think, "that looks like it would be wonderful to wear," I try to design something that would make others think that too.

I also take great pride in the way that I do the technical writing for my patterns, and I strive to produce very clear and logically written directions. Since I had only been crocheting and knitting for a short amount of time, before I began designing, it was almost out of necessity that I wrote them in a way that was simple and easy to understand. I send all of my patterns to "pattern testers," so that they have the greatest chance of accuracy. Only after I receive the green light, from them, do I offer my designs for purchase.

Another important aspect of my business is the level of customer service that I provide. I feel that it's incredibly important to be there to answer questions from your customers, should a question arise.

If you aren't a knitter or crocheter yet, I urge you to give it a go. Knitting and crocheting can offer a truly relaxing, and almost meditative, experience. If you do already knit and/or crochet, and you decide to try one of my designs, I hope that you enjoy it! That is my main goal behind my business--happy knitting and crocheting customers. :-)
