My name is Laura and I am an Italian artist. Since I was a child I loved to express myself with drawing, I was fascinated by colors and paintings. I had a painter teacher in middle school who transmitted to me the passion for this art and taught me to "play" with all the means I could have available to get something artistic, unique, that had all of me and my dreams inside. Life then took me in other directions, but I have always cultivated the hobby of painting, with pencils, tempera and oil.

Then at a certain point in my life I asked myself: why not realize the dream of expressing that part of me that had been relegated to the corner of free time? With all the enthusiasm of a little girl (and little girl I was no longer) I began to deepen the study of painting techniques, both on books and on the internet, passing from oil to acrylics, to material paintings and arriving at epoxy resin.

A "dirty" work, sticky, difficult, where the material seems to have its own will that you have to bend to your will, but the result you get is a very shiny vitrified layer: a magnificent effect!

The other elements that enrich it create an absolutely unique art, the semi-precious stones, the glass chips, the glitter, the wood, the leaves and so on: you always get new and different results.

My art is abstract, but expresses the emotion of the beauty of nature, through the representation of geodes, flowers, the starry universe, the beaches and the sea.

I always aim for beauty and the feeling of serenity through the juxtaposition of different colors and materials, through the study of combinations, complementarities, nuances and contrasts.

Making art immerses me in the beauty of the world, of creation and of the Creator and this is the Beauty that I would like to convey to all those who look at my painting.

Beauty is not for me an end in itself, but refers us to Something beyond, to absolute Beauty, which is the spiritual one, that of the Creator.

Making art is a wonderful experience: immerse yourself in this world of colors and lights and I am sure that you too will fall in love with what made me young again!

Mi chiamo Laura e sono un'artista italiana. Fin da piccola ho amato esprimermi con il disegno, ero affascinata dai colori e dai quadri. Ho avuto un professore pittore alle scuole medie che mi ha trasmesso la passione per quest’arte e mi ha insegnato a “giocare” con tutti i mezzi che potevo avere a disposizione per ottenere qualcosa di artistico, di unico, che aveva dentro tutta me e i miei sogni. La vita mi ha poi portato in altre direzioni, ma ho sempre coltivato l’hobby della pittura, con matite, tempere e olio.

Poi ad un certo punto della mia vita mi sono chiesta: perché non realizzare il sogno di esprimere quella parte di me che era stata relegata nell’angolino del tempo libero? Con tutto l’entusiasmo di una ragazzina (e ragazzina non ero più) ho iniziato ad approfondire lo studio delle tecniche pittoriche, sia su libri che su internet, passando dall’olio agli acrilici, ai quadri materici e approdando alla resina epossidica.

Un lavoro “sporco”, appiccicoso, difficile, dove la materia sembra avere una sua volontà che devi piegare ai tuoi voleri, ma il risultato che si ottiene è uno strato vetrificato molto lucido: un effetto magnifico!

Gli altri elementi che l’arricchiscono creano un’arte assolutamente unica, le pietre dure, le schegge di vetro, i glitter, il legno, le foglie e così via : si ottengono risultati sempre nuovi e diversi.

La mia arte è astratta,ma esprime l’emozione del bello della natura, attraverso la rappresentazione dei geodi, dei fiori, dell’universo stellato, delle spiagge e del mare.

Miro sempre al bello e alla sensazione di serenità attraverso la giustapposizione di colori e materiali diversi, attraverso lo studio degli accostamenti, delle complementarietà, delle sfumature e dei contrasti.

Fare arte mi immerge nella bellezza del mondo, della creazione e del Creatore ed è questa la Bellezza che vorrei trasmettere a tutti coloro che guardano un mio quadro.

Il bello non è per me fine a se stesso, ma ci rimanda a Qualcosa al di là, alla Bellezza assoluta, che è quella spirituale, quella del Creatore.

Fare arte è un’esperienza stupenda: immergetevi anche voi in questo mondo di colori e luci e sono sicura che anche voi vi innamorerete di ciò che mi ha fatto ritornare giovane!
