Artist - using natural, sustainable Australian Sea Shells
I have always enjoyed collecting shells from the beach though this year I started as a hobby creating artwork that uses the shells I collect. Shells remind me of the many fun childhood memories of growing up on beautiful Australian beaches. A natural product which feels nice to touch, has now become for me a thoughtful loving unique gift to give to others for many different occasions.
Most of my artworks use jingle shells because of their unique shiny colours.
Fun fact: Jingle shells make a beautiful bell sound when moving in the waves. I personally collect shells that are not damaged and are empty of animals. Then I gently wash (only with water) and dry all the shells I collect from nearby beaches. There are hundreds of jingle shells from the beaches I explore.
These lightweight artworks can be hung on the wall using some strips of double sided velcro or some people prefer to just display them against a wall in a shelf or on a flat surface.
I have made different shapes and letters and also made a series to be displayed together. Im happy to make personalised artworks for many different occasions. Such as birthdays, Christmas, new home, Mother's day, friendships, get well, loss and births.
