Ciao a tutti, siamo Casey e Kelsey, il team di Spirit Lab. Gestiamo la nostra attività dal nostro laboratorio casalingo a Philadelphia, che di solito funge anche da laboratorio di prototipazione per qualsiasi nuova idea ci stia appassionando al momento.
Spirit Lab è nato dalla nostra esperienza nei festival e nelle comunità di Burning Man. Volevamo trovare un modo per unire le nostre due competenze, molto diverse tra loro, in qualcosa di tangibile, colmando il divario tra l'aspetto altamente tecnico e quello profondamente intenzionale.
Io (Casey) sono un creatore digitale, DJ e inventore. Mi occupo della parte tecnica e produttiva, dedicando il mio tempo alla messa a punto delle nostre stampanti 3D, alla progettazione di supporti per flow art resistenti e all'utilizzo del nostro laser CO2 per tagliare gioielli e medaglioni complessi. Kelsey è un'artista, terapista del suono e insegnante di yoga. Porta l'anima e la visione estetica in laboratorio. Che si tratti di progettare un nuovo medaglione o un set di ventagli per flow art, si assicura che ciò che creiamo non sia solo tecnicamente valido, ma che sia anche piacevole da indossare, tenere in mano e con cui interagire.
Abbiamo scelto il nome "Spirit Lab" perché descrive perfettamente il nostro modo di lavorare. È una sperimentazione continua. Testiamo costantemente nuovi materiali, ad esempio trovando la flessibilità ideale per un hula hoop o la finitura perfetta per un ciondolo tagliato al laser, e ci chiediamo come gli oggetti fisici possano aiutare le persone a muoversi, giocare e connettersi più profondamente.
Tutto ciò che vedete nel nostro negozio, dai nostri medaglioni esclusivi ai nostri accessori LED flow, è progettato, prototipato e assemblato da noi due. Creiamo accessori e opere d'arte indossabili che vorremmo usare noi stessi, che sia in pista da ballo o in uno spazio di benessere. Per questo motivo, ci teniamo moltissimo alla durata e alla cura dei minimi dettagli prima di spedire qualsiasi prodotto.

Hey there, we’re Casey and Kelsey—the team behind Spirit Lab. We run our business out of our home workshop in Philadelphia, where our space usually doubles as a prototyping lab for whatever new idea we're currently obsessing over.
Spirit Lab was born out of our time spent in the festival and Burner communities. We wanted a way to merge our two very different skill sets into something tangible, bridging the gap between the highly technical and the deeply intentional.
I (Casey) am a digital fabricator, DJ, and tinkerer. I handle the tech and manufacturing side of things, spending my time dialing in our 3D printers, engineering durable flow props, and running our CO2 laser to cut intricate jewelry and medallions. Kelsey is an artist, sound healer, and yoga instructor. She brings the soul and the aesthetic vision to the lab. Whether we're designing a new medallion or a set of flow fans, she makes sure that what we create isn't just technically sound, but actually feels good to wear, hold, and interact with.
We chose the name "Spirit Lab" because it describes exactly how we work. It’s a constant experiment. We are always testing new materials—like finding the exact right flex for a hula hoop or the perfect finish for a laser-cut pendant—and asking ourselves how physical objects can help people move, play, and connect more deeply.
Everything you see in our shop, from our signature medallions to our LED flow gear, is designed, prototyped, and assembled by the two of us. We build gear and wearable art that we actually want to use ourselves, whether that's out on the dance floor or in a healing space. Because of that, we care a whole lot about durability and getting the tiny details right before anything ever ships out.
