I started sewing while I was attending university, just for fun and to spend some time in good company creatively.
From the very beginning, I deeply felt some kind of connection with this art so,
right after my degree in Anthropology at Bologna Univesity, I started attending a tailoring course in my home town, Jesi (Marche) and I understood that was the starting point of my carrier in the artisanal world.
When I finally decided to open my business, it was february 2020 and I still didn't know that the coronavirus was coming and with it, all the changes in our life
I have always enjoyed going to handmade market, find new artisans and discover, ecstatic, their products: each of them so special and unique. I also have always wondered what feels like be them: show the results of my own work, of my own hands and mind to real people and have a direct contact with them.
I still don't know how it fells, because the artisanal markets are suspended, due to corona-virus restrictions. But I can't sit on my hands !
So, in the meanwhile, I started my brand " Tantucci with the T" : my surname is Tantucci and at first, people usually find it hard to understand and I always need to specify the initial letter. " Tantucci, with the T " is probably the sentence I have said the most in my life. And despite the difficulties in understanding it, Tantucci is my surname, it's part of my identity and I really want to use it to present myself.
With "Tantucci with the T" I want to present myself through my tailor-made clothes and show you the inner beauty everyone has inside!
All the clothes you see in my shop are made, cut, sew and shipped by me, Federica, in my home tailoring lab in Jesi, in the Marche region in the middle of Italy.
I mostly focused on using dead-stock fabric, coming from the exuberance of the fashion industry production: fabric no longer used find new life in my clothes and are saved from being waste material.
I prefer use Made in Italy high quality products because my clothes are designed to last over time.

"Tailor-made clothes to inhabit your own beauty"

In the italian language, "clothes" and "inhabit" share the same etymological rooot: the habit is all we need to bring along, it is what we usually carry around.
Like a home, our clothes protect us and they are inhabited by our personality.
I truly believe that everyone has her own inner beauty and it should be showed also on the outside.
Everyone should choose to inhabit the part of themselves they find beauty in, work on it, nurture it and let it bloom.

Choose to inhabit beauty is a conscious act that needs to be practiced every day, with patience and constancy, through choices that reflect our nature and our way of life.

Therefore, the aim of "Tantucci with the T" is to consider our best part our home, inhabit it permanently: make a garment of our own beauty.
