Come l'amicizia è diventata una luce nei momenti più difficili.
Questi bambini vengono spesso chiamati "dolci bambini", un appellativo dato a coloro che convivono con il diabete di tipo 1.
Solo le madri di questi bambini comprendono veramente cosa significhi vivere in costante stato di vigilanza e preoccupazione.
Quando si trascorrono notti insonni, è necessario controllare i livelli di glicemia.
Quando al mattino devi farti forza e andare avanti, costi quel che costi.
È difficile. È estenuante. Ma non ci arrendiamo.
Per i nostri figli. Per il loro futuro.
Ci siamo uniti e abbiamo creato un piccolo progetto: un'attività per noi e per i nostri figli, qualcosa che possa crescere e diventare una solida base per le nostre famiglie.
E dietro a tutto ciò si cela uno scopo più profondo:
Per ogni confezione venduta, doneremo 1 dollaro a una fondazione che sostiene i bambini affetti da diabete, per aiutare coloro che hanno veramente bisogno di cure e supporto.
Perché insieme è più facile.
E nessun bambino dovrebbe affrontare tutto questo da solo.
This is a story about how one diagnosis brought two souls and two hearts together.
How two wonderful children found true friendship in each other, and their mothers found the strength to keep going.
How friendship became a light in the hardest moments.
These children are often called “sweet kids” — a name given to those living with type 1 diabetes.
And only mothers of such children truly understand what it means to live in constant vigilance and worry.
When nights are spent without sleep — checking blood sugar levels.
When in the morning you have to pull yourself together and keep going, no matter what.
It’s hard. It’s exhausting. But we don’t give up.
For our children. For their future.
We came together and created a small project — a business for ourselves and our children, something that can grow into a strong foundation for our families.
And there is a deeper purpose behind it:
from every box sold, we will donate $1 to a foundation supporting children with diabetes, to help those who truly need care and support.
Because together is easier.
And no child should have to go through this alone.
