Very Still Creatures nació de la idea de que estos increíbles animales pueden ser tratados como obras de arte, realzados por marcos preciosos y paspartús que los complementan. Cada pieza se crea con intención. Se coloca, se conserva y se exhibe en un marco vintage o personalizado seleccionado a mano, con paspartú cortado individualmente y materiales cuidadosamente elegidos. Dedico mucho más tiempo a la presentación del necesario, y me parece perfecto.
Cada ejemplar es diferente. El marco, los colores, las texturas y la composición se eligen para complementar la criatura en sí, no para seguir un diseño genérico. El objetivo no es simplemente exhibir un escarabajo o una polilla; es crear algo único y absolutamente impresionante. Algo que invite a la conversación y despierte la admiración.
Todos nuestros insectos provienen de fuentes éticas, de proveedores y recolectores sostenibles de todo el mundo. Una vez que llegan, cada ejemplar se rehidrata cuidadosamente, se coloca a mano, se seca, se conserva y se enmarca. Es un proceso lento, pero increíblemente gratificante si disfrutas de los detalles de un trabajo artesanal.
Junto a los insectos disecados, también encontrarás rarezas conservadas, curiosidades, colecciones limitadas y algún que otro experimento que parecía una buena idea a las 11:30 de la noche.

Very Still Creatures was born from the idea that these incredible animals can be treated like works of art, elevated by gorgeous frames and complimentary mats. Every piece is made with intention. Positioned, preserved, and displayed in a hand-selected vintage or custom frame with individually cut matting and thoughtfully chosen materials. I spend far more time on the presentation than is necessary - and I'm totally cool with that.
Every specimen is different. The frame, the colors, the textures, and the composition are chosen to complement the creature itself, not a cookie cutter design. The goal isn't simply to display a beetle or a moth; it's to create something unique and absolutely stunning. Something that starts a conversation and incites wonder.
All of our insects are sourced ethically from sustainable suppliers and collectors around the world. Once they arrive, each specimen is carefully rehydrated, positioned by hand, dried, preserved, and framed. It's a slow process, but incredibly satisfying if you enjoy getting into the details of a craft.
