How it began
Victory Patterns è iniziato quando e l'idea mi è venuta in mente dopo aver insegnato cucito per un po 'di tempo, che potrebbe essere una buona idea creare modelli di cucito per tutte queste adorabili signore per usare le loro nuove abilità di cucito trovate! Ho sempre saputo che volevo avere la mia attività creativa e mi sono fidato di questa idea più di ogni altra cosa folle che avevo pensato fino a quel momento.
Ho trattenuto il respiro e ho lasciato il mio lavoro di costumista e ho trascorso i successivi dieci mesi a scrivere un business plan e sviluppare la prima collezione di modelli. Quando ho detto alla gente "Ho lasciato il mio lavoro per creare modelli di cucito PDF!!!" Avrei avuto un sacco di graffi alla testa e facce scroccate e "whaaat's that?". Lo so, è di nicchia, ma avevo l'impressione che avrebbe funzionato! Non ero una persona molto esperta di computer, quindi ho armeggiato lungo la strada insegnando a me stesso mentre andavo avanti su come trasformare un modello fisico in un modello digitale e tutti i tipi di misteri si svolgevano lentamente. È stata un'avventura così incredibile e stimolante e continua ad esserlo ogni giorno! Recentemente ho iniziato a stampare i modelli, quindi ora sono disponibili sia in PDF che in stampa. Woohoo!!!
Per fortuna, il piccolo mondo del cucito e del fai-da-te sembra essere pieno delle persone più magiche, gentili e solidali sotto il sole, e con il tuo supporto sono stato così fortunato da poter continuare a fare ciò che amo, facendo cose che spero ti piacerebbe cucire per te stesso!
Ciò che amo di più della creazione di questi modelli è che incoraggiano la creazione di abiti più sostenibili e socialmente consapevoli. Che tu lo sappia o no, facendo i tuoi vestiti e comprando meno fast fashion, stai facendo una piccola parte per rendere questo mondo un posto migliore! Spero che tu trovi qualcosa che ti piace per te stesso. Fallo con cura e sii orgoglioso di sapere che ogni punto è fatto con amore da te!

Victory Patterns started when and idea popped into my head after teaching sewing for some time, that it might be a good idea to make sewing patterns for all these lovely ladies to use their new found sewing skills! I always knew I wanted to have my own creative business and I trusted in this idea more than any other crazy thing I'd thought up until that point.
I held my breath and I left my job as a costume maker and spent the next ten months writing a business plan and developing the first collection of patterns. When I told people "I've quit my job to make PDF sewing patterns!!!" I would get a lot of head scratches and scrunched up faces and "whaaat's that?". I know, it's niche, but I had a hunch it would work out! I'm wasn't a very computer savvy person so I fumbled along the way teaching myself as I went along all about how to turn a physical pattern into a digital pattern and all sorts of mysteries slowly unfolded. It was such an amazing, challenging adventure, and continues to be every day! I recently started printing the patterns, so they're now available in both PDF and print. Woohoo!!!
Thankfully, the little world of sewing and DIY happens to be full of the most magical, kind and supportive people under the sun, and with your support I've been so lucky to be able to continue doing what I love, making things that I hope you'd like to sew up for yourself!
What I love the most about making these patterns is that they encourage the creation of more sustainably, socially conscious clothing. Whether you know it or not, by making your own clothes and buying less fast fashion, your doing a small part to make this world a better place! I hope you find something that you like for yourself. Make it with care and take pride in knowing that each stitch is made with love by you!
