Sono Lyn, una responsabile IT in pensione che ha trascorso una vita a riparare, costruire e capire come funzionano le cose. Lavorare il legno è da anni il mio modo preferito per rilassarmi in officina, e The Weekend Builder è il luogo in cui condivido i progetti che ho ideato e realizzato personalmente.

Ogni progetto qui presentato nasce da qualcosa che ho effettivamente realizzato. Lo costruisco, lo misuro e poi lo descrivo nel modo in cui vorrei leggerlo io stesso: disegni chiari, un elenco completo dei materiali e istruzioni semplici, senza tecnicismi. La maggior parte dei progetti utilizza legno comune che si trova in qualsiasi negozio di bricolage e attrezzi che probabilmente possedete già.

I’m Lyn, a retired IT manager who has spent a lifetime fixing, building, and figuring out how things go together. Woodworking has been my favorite way to unwind in the shop for years, and The Weekend Builder is where I share the projects I’ve designed and built myself.

Every plan here starts as something I actually made. I build it, measure it, and then write it up the way I’d want to read it myself: clear drawings, a complete cut list, and plain-English steps without the jargon. Most projects use ordinary lumber from the home center and tools you probably already own.
