White Tree Farm è un sogno che diventa realtà per la proprietaria Heather Goforth. Dopo aver trascorso un paio di decenni a fare la sicurezza aziendale per le società di intrattenimento, ha deciso di ritirarsi da quel mondo e diventare una produttrice di formaggio di capra. Nel 2021, lei e suo marito hanno acquistato una fattoria di asini già esistente a Statesville, nella Carolina del Nord. Senza alcuna precedente esperienza agricola, Heather, con l'aiuto di suo marito, ha iniziato a riabilitare la loro nuova proprietà. Dopo più di 2 anni, White Tree Farm è diventata la prima produttrice di formaggio di capra completamente certificata USDA nella contea di Iredell.
Heather Goforth è nata e cresciuta nella periferia di Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Si è diplomata alla Upper Darby High School e poi ha conseguito la laurea triennale in Giustizia penale presso l'Università dell'Indiana della Pennsylvania. Dopo la laurea ha iniziato la sua carriera nella sicurezza aziendale, diventando Direttore della sicurezza per un grande gruppo teatrale di Philadelphia. Durante l'epidemia di Covid ha deciso di lasciare la sicurezza aziendale e perseguire altri sogni. Anche suo marito Chris è rimasto disoccupato durante il Covid, il che ha creato per loro l'opportunità di realizzare il nuovo sogno di Heather di diventare un produttore di formaggio di capra. Hanno acquistato la fattoria e l'avventura è iniziata. Heather è ora la proprietaria della prima Goat Cheese Creamery completamente autorizzata nella contea di Iredell
White Tree Farm is a dream come true for owner Heather Goforth. After spending a couple of decades doing corporate security for entertainment companies she decided to retire from that world and become a goat cheese maker. In 2021 her and her husband bought a previously existing donkey farm in Statesville, North Carolina. With no previous farming experience Heather, with help from her husband, started to rehabilitate their new property. After more than 2 years White Tree Farm became the first fully USDA certified goat cheese maker in Iredell County.
Heather Goforth was born and raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia Pennsylvania. She graduated from Upper Darby High School and then perused her bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. After graduating she began her career in corporate security leading her to become Director of Security for a large theater group in Philadelphia. During the Covid outbreak she made the decision to leave corporate security and pursue other dreams. Her husband Chris also ended up unemployed during Covid which created an opportunity for them to realize Heather's new dream of becoming a goat cheese maker. They bought the farm and the adventure began. Heather is now the owner of the very first fully licensed Goat Cheese Creamery in Iredell County
