Why "You Got Me Back?"
Ho fondato You Got Me Back nel 2024 per unire due cose che amo: il design creativo e il meraviglioso gioco del calcio. Si possono avere solo un certo numero di magliette rosse con la scritta "la tua squadra del cuore". Cercando qualcosa di diverso dal merchandising ufficiale della squadra, le opzioni mi sembravano troppo simili e decisamente troppo limitate.
Quando ami e vivi il calcio, ti ritrovi ad alzarti all'alba per seguire la tua squadra. Viaggi per ore per raggiungere i tornei. Guardi, ti alleni, sudi e ti fai male, poi ti svegli e ricominci tutto da capo. Sono stato in campo come giocatore e arbitro. Sono stato a bordo campo come allenatore e come genitore. Sono stato sugli spalti a guardare alcune delle più grandi squadre del mondo. Ogni esperienza rafforza il mio amore per il calcio e mi ispira a tradurre quell'amore in espressioni divertenti per l'intera comunità calcistica.
Perché "Mi hai ripresa"? Dopo aver visto le mie figlie giocare innumerevoli partite, una frase che le giocatrici ripetevano mi è rimasta impressa: "Mi hai ripresa". A volte abbreviata in "mi hai ripresa", trasmetteva sempre un messaggio confortante. Un giocatore più indietro fa sapere a un attaccante che il passaggio retrogrado è sicuro se si trovano sotto pressione. Mi piace pensare che YGMB vi sostenga, in senso figurato e letterale, con un abbigliamento sportivo fresco, creativo e attuale.
I started You Got Me Back in 2024 to combine two things that I love, creative design and the beautiful game of soccer. One can only have so many red tops brandishing your favorite club. When looking for something other than official team merchandise, the options felt too similar and far too limited.
When you love and live the game, you find yourself getting up at dawn to watch your club. You travel long hours to get to tournaments. You watch, train, sweat, and bruise, then wake up and do it all again. I’ve been on the pitch as a player and a referee. I’ve been on the sidelines as a Coach and as a parent. I've been in the stands watching some of the world's biggest clubs. Each experience strengthens my love for soccer and inspires me to translate that love into fun expressions for the entire soccer community.
Why "You got me back"? After watching my daughters play in countless matches one phrase the players repeated stuck out to me: "You got me back". Sometimes shortened to "you got me", it always had a comforting sentiment. A player further back lets a forward player know that the back pass is safe if they run into pressure. I like to think that YGMB has your back, figuratively and literally with fresh, creative, and current soccer lifestyle apparel.
