After a long career as an engineer, the artist has returned to his original passion: painting. During his professional life, there was often little time for art, but his interest in color, light, and form was always present. Today, he dedicates himself to watercolor and oil painting with peace and concentration.
His work focuses on landscapes and maritime motifs, particularly depictions of the sea, coastlines, and sailboats. The paintings arise from his enjoyment of nature, the changing light, and the movement of water. For him, painting is a conscious counterpoint to the technical precision of earlier years and, at the same time, a way to capture impressions and moods.
Each work is a hand-painted original and an expression of a late, but all the more conscious, turn to art.
Nach einer langjährigen Laufbahn als Ingenieur hat sich der Künstler wieder seiner ursprünglichen Leidenschaft zugewandt: der Malerei. Während seines Berufslebens blieb für die Kunst oft nur wenig Raum, das Interesse an Farben, Licht und Formen war jedoch stets präsent. Heute widmet er sich mit Ruhe und Konzentration der Aquarell- und Ölmalerei.
Der Schwerpunkt seiner Arbeiten liegt auf Landschaften und maritimen Motiven, insbesondere auf Darstellungen von Meer, Küsten und Segelbooten. Die Bilder entstehen aus der Freude an der Natur, an wechselnden Lichtstimmungen und an der Bewegung des Wassers. Die Malerei ist für ihn ein bewusster Gegenpol zur technischen Präzision früherer Jahre und zugleich eine Möglichkeit, Eindrücke und Stimmungen festzuhalten.
Jedes Werk ist ein handgemaltes Unikat und Ausdruck einer späten, aber umso bewussteren Hinwendung zur Kunst.
