Bookbinding since I was 15yo!! The love only keeps getting stronger ❤️

I learned book binding from my father, he passed his passion and knowledge onto me and from there it grew stronger as I perfected the art for 35 years.

In 2009 I archived my dream and opened my very own shop: Il Cartiglio which today goes on with my love and passion.
My goal is to create beautiful objects that will be of use for years to come in everyday life.
Il Cartiglio is just a few steps from the Duomo of Florence.
The small homey space contains both the tradition and innovation of the shop with its smell of incense, genuine leather, and the rainbow of colour among paper and leather.

I love working on my creations in the shop because it allows clients to see snippets of how the elegant products around them are crafted.
