KiddoPalette Privacy Policy

This policy describes how KiddoPalette collects, uses, shares, and retains information when you purchase from us, contact us, or otherwise use our services through Etsy. Etsy's own privacy practices are governed by Etsy's Privacy Policy.

Information we collect
To fulfill an order, Etsy provides information such as the buyer's name, email address, postal address, payment and order details. For a personalized book, we also receive only the choices entered by the adult buyer: the child's first name, pronouns, reading level, illustrated avatar choice, and optional dedication. No child photo, surname, birth date, school, medical information, or account is required. Please do not send those details.

Why we use information
We use information only as needed to provide and improve the requested product and service: validating personalization, producing the book, arranging delivery, providing customer support, resolving disputes, preventing fraud or technical problems, and complying with Etsy's terms and applicable legal, tax, or regulatory obligations. We do not use Etsy buyer information for unsolicited marketing. Where consent is the legal basis, it may be withdrawn.

Sharing and service providers
We share information only when necessary with Etsy; Cloudflare, which provides secure application and file infrastructure; Gelato and its regional print and delivery providers, which print, bind, pack, and ship physical books; carriers; and professional advisers or authorities where legally required. Each provider receives only the information needed for its role. Information may be processed in countries with different privacy laws; when required, we rely on contractual necessity and appropriate legal safeguards.

Retention and security
We retain personalization and fulfillment information only as long as reasonably necessary to produce and support the order, maintain security, resolve disputes, and satisfy legal, accounting, or tax obligations. Retention therefore depends on the record and applicable law. We use access controls and private storage for production files, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, restrict, object to, receive, or request deletion of personal information, and to complain to your local privacy authority. Some information may be retained where law requires it. For data held by Etsy, contact Etsy through its Help Center. For KiddoPalette privacy requests, message us through Etsy or email support@kiddopalette.com. KiddoPalette is the data controller for information it processes outside Etsy.
