ACTUALIZACIÓN 25/11
He estado ocupado construyendo mi nuevo horno. Es más pequeño, así que puedo encenderlo yo solo y aun así conseguir los efectos de fuego de ceniza y leña (yohen) que deseo. Es un diseño modificado de una sola cámara, con arco catenario y tiro cruzado. El arco está casi terminado y solo me falta la chimenea y el aislamiento.

Me operaron de la rodilla hace un año. La construiré en la primavera de 2023 en otro lugar de la propiedad. Ya tengo la mitad de la carga hecha, acristalada y acolchada.
¡Estoy deseando que llegue!

Quiero agradecer a todos mis seguidores por su apoyo a lo largo de los años. Desmonté mi horno y le construí una casita a mi anciana madre en el mismo terreno. Guardé todos los ladrillos, ya diseñé mi tercer horno y lo construiré el próximo año en otro lugar de la propiedad.

I have been busy building my new kiln. It is smaller so i can fire it by myself and still get the ash and wood fire effects (yohen) i desire. It is a modified, single chamber, catenary arch/cross draft design. The arch is almost done and I’ll have the chimney and insulation left to do.

UPDATE 11/22
I had to have a total knee replacement a year ago. I will building it in the spring of 2023 in a different spot on the property. I have half of a load already created, glazed and wadded.
I’m looking forward to it!

I want to thank all of my supporters over the years. I have disassembled my kiln and built my elderly mom a small house to live in on the same spot. I have saved all the bricks, already designed my third kiln and will building it next year in a different spot on the property.
