Description
Dypsis Rivularis is a medium-sized palm from northeastern Madagascar where it grows on the edges of streams. It sports a slender, solitary trunk and a compact crown of short, slightly plumose leaves with grouped, slightly drooping leaflets. It does very well in humid and tropical conditions.
Dypsis Rivularis palm trees with a trunk less than 8 feet tall produce the most intense red coloration. Once trees age and obtain a mature height around 15' tall, the red trunk stem fades and remains olive green.
