星 5 個のうち 5 個Nice flat-bottomed tote pattern! I’d call myself an “advanced beginner” with not much bag-sewing experience but was able to follow the written instructions and photos easily to create my tote with cotton canvas. A couple steps (like folding the pockets) were slightly unclear and could have used more instruction/a diagram but I was able to figure it out easily enough by playing around with the pattern pieces. I added a drop-in lining rather than binding the inner seams so I could add more inner pockets and features on the inside. I also made the straps a little longer to fit comfortably as a shoulder bag. It was a little bit smaller than I had imagined so definitely read the dimensions - I might add 20% to my patterns next time! Overall a super functional tote with lots of pockets.

The instructions were very clear with pictures for each step. I was able to sew this up in one day. The sizing is nice and compact, perfect for a small shopping tote! The smallest side pockets are quite narrow, but since there are so many other pockets it’s not really an issue.

This grocery tote is now my favourite bag. I loved making it and the instructions and the pattern made the process really clear. I also added my own lining which was easier than I thought. I love the simplicity of the bag and how it looks. I would make it again with so many other fabrics.
