Orange Peel quilts have been popular for centuries. I teach this class at locally, but for my remote students, I will share here how to make an Orange Peel quilt of your own. Use your favorite applique method by hand or machine, and make your quilt any size. I have included: instructions for my favorite hand applique method, Needleturn with Freezer Paper on Top, as shown in “Baltimore Garden Quilt," tips to hand applique smooth curves, and my unique method for sharp points so they turn easily and securely, a Placement Guide pattern for accurate placement of the peels, quilting ideas a a pattern for quilting little Peels. Use a simple running stitch to sew finished blocks together by hand, or sew them together by machine. These delightful little Peel blocks are easy to applique by hand or by machine.
