I have the python green hook, it was not enough length on the tank side of the hook to do 25% water change, I used this extension today I it was exactly the length I needed, almost exactly 25% water change to the depth it extends to. I was concerned about shrimp going through the slots so I added a sponge. The sponge made the already smooth water refill even smoother. I could hardly notice the water filling the tank during a refill. Of course with just the green python hook it would disrupt the substrate sand. I also loved the snug fit on the green python hook. I’d love to recommend longer sizes for even deeper tanks. If you have a green python hook, buy one of these extenders you won’t regret it!

Thank you so much for the positive review!! I agree. The first time I tried this out, I was amazed at how much it helped. So much easier for water changes to put this on the hook and hang it on the tank. And with how deep it reaches it in the tank it is even better for large water changes. We can certainly make deeper versions if that's something that you need. I am also always open to new ideas (freshwater too!) if you need something in particular.
