I’ve always made things. From wooden swords and treehouses as a kid, to the wood, leather, metal, ceramic, and other textile work I’ve done since. For me, being a craftsman is largely about making the things I want and need. I love the moment when a new idea becomes a material reality. Taking an image in my head and following it through, past all the hurdles of design and production to create something useful and beautiful. If there’s something I want, I am always more satisfied if I make it.
The name of my shop comes from both the inspiration I get from my twin sons and the influence my own father has had on my life and career. I first started to sell crafts here and there as a teenager, but my real leap into professional crafts was when I was twenty. I partnered with my Dad In designing and launching a new line of shoes that he’d been working to develop since before I was born. I still bring a lot of what I learned making shoes with my dad to the work I do today (thanks Babu!)
