Het begon met een fascinatie voor natuurlijke kleuren.

Ik ontdekte de schoonheid van indigoverf toen ik traditionele Japanse textieltechnieken leerde kennen. Het proces voelde als alchemie: witte stof zien transformeren in rijke, diepe blauwtinten met alleen natuurlijke elementen. Ik was meteen verkocht.

AIZOMEYA (藍染屋) betekent "het indigoverfhuis" – een eerbetoon aan dit magische ambacht. Wat begon als een experiment in het verven van stoffen, is uitgegroeid tot een collectie unieke sieraden die indigoverfde stoffen, natuurlijke materialen zoals hout en leer en een diepe waardering voor ambachtelijk werk combineert.

Elk stuk wordt langzaam en bewust met de hand gemaakt, met aandacht voor textuur, kleur en ziel. Ik geloof dat sieraden een verhaal moeten dragen – en ik hoop dat elk item uit mijn winkel een beetje warmte, rust en verbondenheid brengt met de persoon die het draagt.

It started with a fascination for natural color.

I first discovered the beauty of indigo dye while learning about traditional textile techniques from Japan. The process felt like alchemy — watching white fabric transform into rich, deep blues using only nature’s elements. I was hooked.

AIZOMEYA (藍染屋) means "the indigo dye house" — a tribute to this magical craft. What began as an experiment in fabric dyeing has evolved into a collection of one-of-a-kind jewelry that combines indigo-dyed fabric, natural materials like wood and leather, and a deep appreciation for artisan work.

Each piece is handmade slowly and intentionally, with attention to texture, tone, and soul. I believe jewelry should carry a story — and I hope each item from my shop brings a bit of warmth, calm, and connection to the person who wears it.
