Descubrí el crochet de una manera muy especial. La primera vez que cogí un ganchillo fue en 2014, cuando estaba embarazada de mi primera hija. Quería tejerle una manta para que estuviera abrigada durante los meses de verano. Lo que empezó como un proyecto sencillo pronto se convirtió en una pasión por hacer juguetes de crochet, que al principio hacía para mí, luego para mis amigos y, con el tiempo, empecé a venderlos a otras personas.
A medida que mi vida se volvió más ocupada y comencé a trabajar en una oficina, el crochet pasó a un segundo plano, pero siempre estuvo allí, esperando que volviera a él cuando necesitaba una salida creativa o un escape tranquilo de la rutina diaria.
Ahora, con el descubrimiento de hilos hermosos, suaves y livianos que son un placer al tacto (especialmente los diseñados para juguetes de niños), he reavivado mi amor por el crochet. Incluso podría tener un poco de adicción a los hilos: tengo un escondite secreto de estos hilos suaves escondido en mi armario, cuidadosamente guardado lejos de mi esposo, ¡para que no vea cuánto tengo realmente! Ser madre nuevamente también me ha dado el regalo de tener tiempo para concentrarme en lo que realmente amo. I rediscovered crochet in a very special way. The first time I picked up a hook was back in 2014 when I was expecting my first daughter. I wanted to crochet a blanket for her to keep her cozy during the summer months. What started as a simple project soon grew into a passion for making crochet toys, which I initially made for myself, then for friends, and eventually, I began selling them to others.
As life became busier and I transitioned into an office job, crochet took a backseat – but it was always there, waiting for me to return to it when I needed a creative outlet or a peaceful escape from the daily routine.
Now, with the discovery of beautiful, soft, and lightweight yarns that are a joy to touch (especially the ones designed for children’s toys), I’ve rekindled my love for crochet. I might even have a bit of a yarn addiction – I have a secret stash of these soft yarns hidden in my closet, carefully kept away from my husband, so he doesn’t see just how much I truly have! Being a mom again has also given me the gift of time to focus on what I truly love. All the little stuffed toys and blankets I make for my son are carefully and lovingly crocheted, each piece infused with care and attention to detail.
