About the Studio
Prima ancora che esistesse uno studio, c'era un archivio.
Per oltre vent'anni, ho collezionato parole come altri collezionano oggetti rari e insostituibili. Frasi tratte da libri letti nelle prime ore del mattino, di filosofi, scrittori e musicisti, a volte anche qualcosa di più intimo e anonimo. Non c'era un piano preciso, solo la consapevolezza che certe frasi racchiudono qualcosa che il linguaggio comune non ha, e che meritano di essere conservate.
Axiom è nato da quell'archivio. Ogni pezzo qui presente è stato scelto da una sola persona, contro ogni istinto: non se una frase venderà, ma se merita di essere ricordata. La curatela è il lavoro stesso. Sapere quale frase merita di essere esposta su una parete e quale si limita a un breve accenno è il risultato di vent'anni di letture approfondite e ponderate.
Segue la fase di progettazione. Quale carattere tipografico conferisce peso, quanto spazio necessitano le parole intorno a sé, dove lo sguardo deve posarsi per primo. Ogni pezzo viene poi prodotto su carta opaca di alta qualità per archiviazione con inchiostri a pigmenti resistenti allo sbiadimento, stampato su ordinazione e spedito entro pochi giorni. I formati standard vengono spediti in tutto il mondo e le richieste personalizzate sono sempre benvenute.
Questo studio si basa su un principio semplice: le persone prima del profitto. Man mano che Axiom cresce, una parte dei suoi guadagni viene destinata a cause benefiche, con la massima trasparenza sulla destinazione dei fondi. Un principio integrato fin dall'inizio, non aggiunto in seguito.

Before there was a studio, there was an archive.
For over twenty years, I have collected words the way others collect the rare and the irreplaceable. Lines from books read in the early hours, from philosophers and writers and musicians, sometimes something quieter and unattributed. There was no plan behind it, only the recognition that certain sentences carry something ordinary language does not, and that they deserve to be kept.
Axiom grew out of that archive. Every piece here is chosen by one person, against a single instinct: not whether a line will sell, but whether it is worth remembering. The curation is the work. Knowing which sentence earns a wall, and which merely earns a moment, is the result of two decades of reading widely and slowly.
What follows is design. Which typeface carries the weight, how much air the words need around them, where the eye should land first. Each piece is then produced on enhanced matte archival paper with fade-resistant pigment inks, printed to order and dispatched within a few days. Standard sizes ship worldwide, and custom requests are always welcome.
This studio runs on a simple principle: people before profit. As Axiom grows, a portion of what it earns is set aside for charitable causes, with full transparency on where it goes. Built in from the start, not bolted on later.
