BRIGHTWORKGOODS PRIVACY POLICY
Effective date: September 10, 2026
BrightworkGoods ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit our Etsy shop, place an order, request a personalized product, contact us, or interact with our marketing.
1. INFORMATION WE RECEIVE
We receive only the information reasonably needed to operate the shop and fulfill orders. This may include your name, email address, shipping address, order details, messages, support requests, reviews, and other communications. If you order a personalized product, we may also receive names, phrases, photographs, or other content you voluntarily provide. We may receive aggregated marketing information, such as impressions, clicks, and referral information, from Etsy, Pinterest, or similar platforms.
Etsy processes payment information under its own privacy policy. BrightworkGoods does not receive or store your complete payment-card number.
2. WHY WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We use personal information to process, produce, ship, and support orders; create requested personalization; communicate about questions, returns, replacements, disputes, or complaints; prevent fraud and maintain security; keep business, tax, and accounting records; comply with legal obligations; enforce our agreements; and understand shop and marketing performance using aggregated or limited analytics.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not use buyer information received from Etsy for independent marketing without the buyer's consent where consent is required by law.
3. WHEN WE SHARE INFORMATION
We disclose information only when reasonably necessary for these purposes. Recipients may include:
- Etsy, which provides marketplace, communication, payment, and order services;
- Printify and the applicable print provider, which need product, personalization, and shipping information to manufacture and fulfill an order;
- postal and delivery carriers, which need recipient and delivery information;
- professional or technical providers supporting accounting, security, storage, or shop operations; and
- government authorities, regulators, courts, or other parties where disclosure is required or permitted by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and security.
Etsy, Printify, Pinterest, print providers, carriers, and other service providers may have their own privacy policies and may be independently responsible for information they process.
4. PROCESSING OUTSIDE YOUR REGION
Etsy, Printify, Pinterest, print providers, carriers, and technical providers may process information outside your province, country, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, including in Canada, the United States, and the country from which an order is fulfilled. Information processed elsewhere may be subject to that jurisdiction's laws. We limit disclosure to what is reasonably necessary and use appropriate protections where required.
5. RETENTION
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for order fulfillment, customer support, fraud prevention, disputes, accounting, tax, and legal obligations. Transaction records may be retained for periods required by applicable tax and business laws. Personalization files are removed or de-identified when they are no longer needed for production, support, or a legal requirement. Information that is no longer required is securely deleted, destroyed, or anonymized where legally permitted.
6. SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
7. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask whether we hold personal information about you; request access, correction, or deletion; request restriction or portability where legally available; withdraw consent for optional uses; object to certain processing; and complain to the privacy or data-protection authority in your jurisdiction.
Some requests may be limited by legal, tax, security, fraud-prevention, or contractual requirements. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. For information controlled directly by Etsy or Pinterest, including platform account, payment, cookie, or advertising information, please use that platform's privacy tools or contact that platform directly.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Our products and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. A parent or guardian should place and manage any order involving a child.
9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy when our practices, services, or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
