Hi, we’re Michele and Ryan — the husband-and-wife team behind Créé à la main.
We founded this shop with one goal: to create beautiful, meaningful pieces that feel special the moment you hold them.
Michele is a mom of three and a lifelong dog-rescue advocate with a soft spot for anything four-legged. Ryan comes from a fine-arts and design background, and he brings a meticulous eye for detail to everything we create. Together, we blend craftsmanship with heart — making pieces that become part of your home, your memories, and your story.
We’ve always loved high-end, thoughtfully curated décor. The kind of objects that feel elevated, timeless, and personal. When our kids began bringing home handwritten notes, drawings, and little treasures we never wanted to forget, we realized how powerful keepsakes can be. That’s why we began engraving — to preserve the moments that matter.
Every item in our shop is designed and handcrafted by us in Redding, Connecticut using North-American-sourced wood. From custom dog coasters (inspired by our love for rescue pups) to engraved heirloom recipes and local-town pieces, everything is made with intention, care, and the hope that it becomes something you’ll treasure for years.
