An open spot for curious ones like you, and all inquisitive beings are welcome to get cozy with the scenery. Critically Creative Co. (CCCo) resides here, on this branch, softly sitting with you. 🌿
At this portal, CCCo rests deeply, dreaming between and beyond realities, contemplating the known and unknown. This scenic overlook, from the end of a tree’s branch, is potent space for critical pedagogy and creative doulaship to alchemize. Here, is where we can learn, create, and educate with intuition, intention, and care. ✨
Alchemist, Owner, and Designer behind Critically Creative Co., is me, Laura M. Aguilera, M.Ed. I am a multi-passionate artist, writer, scholar-educator, academic librarian-in-training, and an eternal student. 👋🏽
CCCo is a project synthesizing my personal passion for access to information, art, and education. In late winter ‘24, I dreamed up the project when I began reading Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way. I learned plenty from my first [incomplete] attempt at the 12-week class. I successfully finished the book during my second try in late spring ’25! The nonlinearity of envisioning this project is important for me to share, especially from my approach as a disabled scholar-educator and artist. 🌸
I extend so much gratitude to my holistic ‘artist way’ process; it sowed seeds for the becoming of CCCo. I also thank the Eastern Redbud tree, small stream of water, Barred Owls, foxes, birds, and Land outside my window, nearby my creative workspace. In many ways, those relationships and more sustained the becoming of CCCo. 🌱
At this scenic overlook, where the critical and creative are forged, you are among many others; you are not alone. If you choose to, perhaps in this CCCo dreamspace portal we can posit the landscape ahead. We can be critical and creative, in community. 🌳
