Un séjour surf à Porto Rico a inspiré ma passion pour la création d'ailerons de surf montés. Lors d'une sortie snorkeling sur un récif, j'ai trouvé un vieil aileron de surf, poli par le sable, et je l'ai ramené chez moi. Après l'avoir peint, j'ai réalisé à quel point j'aimais le processus de réutilisation d'un objet ayant déjà servi, afin de lui donner une nouvelle histoire.
Le surf, la nature et l'art me procurent une immense joie. Originaire de Virginie, je mêle mes racines des Blue Ridge Mountains à mon amour de l'eau et à mon travail inspiré par la plage.
A surfing trip to Puerto Rico inspired my craft for mounted fin art. I found an old, sand-tumbled surfboard fin while reef snorkeling and brought it home with me. After painting it, I realized how much I loved the process of repurposing something that once had a function to tell another story yet again.
Surfing, nature, and art bring me great joy. As a Virginian, I blend my Blue Ridge roots with my love for the water and beach-inspired work.
