Meu nome é Yande e sou uma ourives balinesa.
Cresci rodeada pelo ritmo tranquilo do artesanato tradicional. Meu pai e meu avô também eram ourives, e desde cedo aprendi a moldar a prata com as minhas mãos, da mesma forma que eles me ensinaram na nossa pequena oficina familiar.
Hoje, continuo essa tradição junto com minha família aqui em Bali.
Cada joia que criamos começa como prata bruta e ganha vida lentamente através de um trabalho manual cuidadoso. Não utilizamos produção em massa. Cada peça é moldada, detalhada e finalizada à mão em nossa oficina.
Nossos designs são inspirados pela ilha onde vivemos. As curvas das folhas tropicais, o movimento das ondas do oceano, as asas delicadas das libélulas — tudo isso faz parte do cotidiano em Bali e frequentemente encontra seu lugar em nossas joias.
Todas as manhãs, antes de começarmos a trabalhar, colocamos pequenas oferendas na oficina. É uma tradição balinesa simples de gratidão, que nos lembra que nosso ofício não é apenas trabalho, mas também parte de nossa cultura e espírito.

My name is Yande, and I am a Balinese silversmith.
I grew up surrounded by the quiet rhythm of traditional craftsmanship. My father and grandfather were also silversmiths, and from a young age I learned how to shape silver with my hands, the same way they once taught me in our small family workshop.
Today I continue this tradition together with my family here in Bali.
Every piece of jewelry we create starts as raw silver and slowly comes to life through careful handwork. We do not use mass production. Each piece is shaped, detailed, and finished by hand in our workshop.
Our designs are inspired by the island where we live. The curves of tropical leaves, the movement of ocean waves, the delicate wings of dragonflies — all of these are part of everyday life in Bali and often find their way into our jewelry.
Every morning before we begin our work, we place small offerings in the workshop. It is a simple Balinese tradition of gratitude, reminding us that our craft is not only work, but also part of our culture and spirit.
