Unique hand-drawn stained glass designs
Mijn passie voor glas-in-lood begon op de middelbare school met mijn eerste glas-in-loodcursus en zette zich voort tijdens mijn kunststudie aan de University of California, Santa Barbara. Door de jaren heen bracht het leven me op veel avonturen, waaronder een verhuizing naar Londen, een nieuwe carrière en een groeiend gezin, waardoor mijn glaswerk tijdelijk stil kwam te liggen. Toen ik echter een raam voor ons nieuwe huis ontwierp, herontdekte ik mijn liefde voor het creëren met glas.
Ik besloot dat het leuk zou zijn om wat ontwerpen te organiseren en te delen met andere glas-in-loodkunstenaars, en mezelf uit te dagen om twee patronen per week toe te voegen om de collectie te laten groeien. Ik hoop dat je iets interessants vindt!
De schoonheid van licht en kleur staat centraal in mijn werk. Glas-in-lood verbetert niet alleen ramen, maar transformeert hele kamers terwijl het licht erdoorheen filtert en prachtige reflecties door de ruimte werpt.
Mijn ontwerpen zijn geïnspireerd door de natuur en kunstgeschiedenis, met name de Arts and Crafts Movement. De natuur en eenvoudige vormen staan centraal in deze stijl, wat ook terugkomt in de architectuur. Een van mijn favorieten is de Craftsman bungalowstijl. Dit type architectuur had vaak ingebouwde kasten waardoor glaswerk naadloos kon worden geïntegreerd in het ontwerp van het huis.

My passion for stained glass began in high school with my first stained glass course and continued during my studies in Art at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Over the years, life led me on many adventures—including a move to London, a new career, and a growing family—which temporarily put my glasswork on hold. However, when designing a window for our new home, I rediscovered my love for creating with glass.
I decided it would be fun to organise and share some designs with other stained-glass artists, and challenge myself to add two patterns a week to grow the collection. Hope you find something of interest!
The beauty of light and colour is at the heart of my work. Stained glass not only enhances windows but transforms entire rooms as light filters through, casting beautiful reflections throughout the space.
My designs are inspired by nature and art history, particularly the Arts and Crafts Movement. Nature and simple forms are central to this style, which is also reflected in the architecture—one of my favourites being the Craftsman bungalow style. This type of architecture often featured built-in cabinets allowing glass work to seamlessly integrate into the home’s design.
