Out Of The Ordinary Crochet Designs
HML STUDIO började sin resa 2009 med succén med Hïdis seniorkollektion, "Elements", på School Of The Art Institute. Kollektionen var i grunden en kombination av olika garntexturer och virktekniker som tillämpades på en kollektion av fem plagg som bars av både män och kvinnor. Under utvecklingen av sin Elements-kollektion var Hïdi både nyfiken och engagerad i att utöka sina kunskaper inom virkningskonsten och se hur långt hon kunde ta färdigheten från den gammaldags stereotypen. Men tänk på att varje virkat plagg hon skapar är användbart.
Hon kommer ursprungligen från Montreal, Kanada, och hennes intresse för design började med influenser från operan och Cirque du Soleils kostymer. Hon fascinerades av deras användning av färg, texturer, medvetenheten om detaljer i ett plagg och framför allt deras storslagenhet. Även hennes kärlek till minimalism, arkitektur och mode kan ses då och då i hennes virkade designer. I slutändan förenas alla dessa element för att skapa ovanliga plagg och återuppfinna virkningskonsten med en modern och uppdaterad touch.

HML STUDIO began its journey back in 2009 with the success of Heïdi's senior collection, 'Elements' at the School Of The Art Institute. The collection was basically a play of various yarn textures and crochet techniques applied to a five garment pieces collection worn by both Men and Women. During the development of her Elements Collection, Heïdi was both curious and dedicated to expand her knowledge with the art of crochet and see how far she could take the skill from its old school stereotype. But keep in mind the wearability of each crochet pieces she creates.
Being originally from Montreal, Canada, her interest in design began with the influence of the world of the opera and Le Cirque Du Soleil costumes. She was fascinated by their use of color, textures, the awareness of details in a piece and above all the grandeur of these costumes. Also her love of minimalism, architecture and fashion can be seen from time to time in her crochet designs. At the end of the day, all these elements come together to create out of the ordinary pieces and reinventing the art of Crochet with modern updated touch.
